Chicago ‘Chicago III’ (CBS (Dbl LP) / UK / 1971 / VG+/Ex+/Ex+) £10 £5
( Killer track here – ‘Happy Cause I’m Going Home’ – massive Folk-Funk epic – amazing flutes etc etc RECOMMENDED!! Beautiful copy here, folks…with the free poster still inside too… )

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young ‘So Far’ (Atlantic / UK / 1974 / Ex+/M-) £8 £4
( Must admit to digging into a lot more stuff like this as I get old and haggard – loving it (thx, Hindsy!) and may I just say that ‘Wooden Ships’ on here (as also done by Christine Harwood, Jefferson Airplane, Steven Stills etc etc) sounds simply aamazing and I must admit that I’m slowly falling deeply in love with Neil Young’s voice…incredible sleeve on this too…immaculate shape….

Donovan ‘Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)’ (Epic / France / 1968 / VG+/Ex+) £10 £5
( Great Donovan piece with the wickedly folky/funky ‘Barabajagal’ title track and the nice fat Drumbeat on ‘Trudi’ which needs using…wax is immaculate and sleeve not far behind it…just had some h2o exposure at some point – minimal… )

Isotope ‘Isotope’ (Gull / UK / 1974 / M-/M-) £8 £4
( Unplayed copy of this new one on me? The ‘Retracing My Steps’ tune from their self-titled LP is a hugely-respected breakbeat and I just tracked thru this one as I was typing this and it’s all good, solid funky rock / fusion all the way – totally immaculate condition…sorry, no YT for this one exists yet… )
Taj Mahal ‘The Natch’l Blues’ (CBS / USA / 1971 / VG/Ex) £8 £4
( My first-ever Taj Mahal LP………sleeve is rough / worn and vinyl has some scuffs but not bad at all really…some great players on this like Al Kooper, Chuck Blackwell etc etc – solid LP throughout and a lovely, trippy drumbeat on ‘The Cuckoo’…classic Blues-Rock set… )

Genya Raven ‘Genya Raven’ (CBS / Holland / 1972 / VG+/Ex) £8 £4
( Dutch copy of this cool LP on much-travelled Genya, great band too with playas like Michael Olatunji, Bernard Williams etc etc – standout track for me here is the multi-faceted ‘Lonely, Lonely’ which rocked along beautifully………nice copy and the sleeve is great too…’Flying’ also very worthy here…..beats…can’t find this on YT, sorry folks… )
ZZ Top ‘Tejas’ (London (gatefold) / UK / 1976 / Ex+/M-) £10 £5
( OG UK press of one of ‘The Top’s’ first UK LPs – huge breakbeat here on ‘It’s Only Love’ which was sampled by The Wiseguys on 1998’s ‘Start The Commotion’ and by some other geezer called Mr. Dibbs who I’ve NEVER heard of (outta touch? Mark Rez? Naaaaah..) I remember when I was 11 / 12 years old in my first year at secondary school and one kid used to wear patchouli oil and denim/leather combinations that left a LOT to be desired…one of the patches he wore on his smelly, armless Levi jacket was a ZZ Top one…God, how I HATED that kid…BUT – the drums on ‘It’s Only Love’ now make sense to me, 37 years later…….fcuk…!! )
